This list should scare you: Corn syrup, milk chocolate – sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate, milk, lactose, milk fat, nonfat milk, soy lecithin PGPR, emulsifier – coconut, sugar, *almonds.
11 ingredients before you even get to a food….. Thats only the first third of the ingredients in what we all know as the ” Almond Joy. ”
Its a classic combination. Almonds, Coconut and Chocolate.
Those ingredients are known to be healthy, right!? Almonds are a superfood, coconut is right up there with it, and chocolate is in the same isle at the health food store. “Its the healthy candy bar.”
Not so…
Candy bars have ingredients. And what food is involved has been so heavily processed its old, stale and has the consistency of cardboard. Thats why the ingredient label begins with corn syrup and ends with caramel color. It needs to hide from the fact that you’re really eating…a nothing bar. Dont do that.
My chocolates don’t have ingredients. They have food. And it goes like this:
Organic & Raw:
Cacao Butter
Cacao Paste
Dates
Unsweetened Coconut
Sprouted, Dehydrated Almonds
Himalayan Pink Salt
Thats it. Because we have nothing to cover up, we aren’t hiding anything. We dont need to. Oh – and bonus, we care about your health.
Pure & Simple.
Eat food. Not ingredients.
Dont eat a nothing bar. Dont eat PGPR.
What even is that?
